Thank you for partnering with us!

It is with pleasure that we invite you to join us on October 15th, 2011 to celebrate World Animal Day at the AWARE Festival. The festival promotes animal, wellness, awareness, rescue, and education, while uniting local organizations to encourage collaboration and partnerships.

World Animal Day is a special opportunity for anyone who loves animals. It was started in 1931 at a convention of ecologists in Florence as a way of highlighting the plight of endangered species. Since then it has grown to encompass all kinds of animal life and is widely celebrated in countries throughout the world.

This fun-filled community event will take place at Rideau Carleton Raceway in Ottawa. Last year’s festival attracted approximately 300 people, their pets, and working animals more than doubling the attendance at the inaugural event held in 2009. We anticipate this year’s event will attract even more visitors. The exhibitors range from small businesses, non-profits, charities, and rescue groups. Other highlights for this year’s festival are as follows:

  • Adoption Alley
  • Animal Blessing Celebration
  • Animal Rescue Walkathon
  • Canine Good Citizen Test
  • Company Connections
  • Fido the Mascot and more
  • Local Entertainment
  • Tellington Touch Demo
Exhibitor booths range from products and services representing local businesses, charities, and non-profit organizations.
